Presents a consultation on:

LIVING WITH THE NEW INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS LEGISLATION

The new legislation is a radical overhaul of the Industrial Relations system. The Social Justice Network has been concerned since its introduction as the changes are beginning to be felt by people right across Australia. Workers are struggling to maintain their levels of pay and working conditions. Join us as we discuss and debate the changes and how they impact on ourselves, people in our churches and the wider community.

When and Where: Saturday 28th October 2006. 9:30am – 12:30pm. Surrey Hills Church of Christ – 1 The Avenue, Surrey Hills

Agenda:

9:30am Welcome and Introduction.

10:00am. Workshop: Working with the new Industrial Relations legislation. David Kerrin from Trades Hall Council will speak on how this legislation is making itself felt and impacting on the working conditions and pay of people.

11:00am We will then hear from employer representatives who will provide their perspectives.

12:00am Question Time

12:30 Conclusion
